If you are thinking about buying a franchise, then you are well on your way to financial independence. Most people do not consider buying a franchise or any business opportunity period, but rather work hard in the system and slave away for years of their life all for someone else. So, the good news is that you are starting to think independently and realize that working for yourself is truly the best opportunity out there - regardless of how much money you make.

Now, with all that said, there are many things to consider when buying a franchise. As there are many franchise opportunities out there - you should be wise to think about which you would be best at. For example - if you're not comfortable with food or expiration dates and such, you probably would not want to get into a food franchise like Subway, but something like McDonald's would work since their stuff is mostly preserved.

There are also other great franchises that each have their own advantage. Some have higher prices but a better marketing scheme (i.e. Coldstone is about 300k), whereas others have little startup cost.
